Four Legs Good, Two Legs Better

Lucy took her first steps last night! Just a couple, but that certainly didn't make me any less excited to watch this major milestone. Lucy must have heard us talking about how she seems so uninterested in walking, and she set out to prove us wrong. We'll have the camera on the ready so we can share photos soon.

In other Lucy news, she visited the doc yesterday for her 12-month check-up. I'm very happy to report that she remains a healthy baby. And now for her new stats:

Weight: 22 pounds, 9.7 ounces (75% percentile)

Height: 30.25 inches (75% percentile)

Head: 95% percentile

So even though she eats like she has a hollow leg, her weight and height have dropped off a bit from the 90-95% percentile. The doc says they actually look for this drop in the 9- to 12-month age range since babies should be moving non-stop. One thing that hasn't changed is her big old noggin'. Must be holding some big brains, right?
