Operation Desert Fun

After the whirlwind of activity during her first four months of life, Lucy decided a week-long vacation was in order. Brandon had a conference in Arizona, so we all packed up and headed southwest for a week of relaxation. (Well, more relaxing for Lucy and me than for Brandon, but at least he got a couple days off after his conference).

Lounging on the big bed and showing off her sun-kissed cheeks.

Helping Dad order breakfast.

Checking out the ducks and turtles in the pond at a Mexican restaurant where we ate lunch.

Lynn and Sam drove all the way from Tucson to meet Lucy. They have known Brandon since he was born, and we were so excited to introduce them to the next generation. Lucy is hoping she can talk Sam into re-opening "Camp Sammy Gene" when she's a little older. Meals at the food court, going to the movies, and no need to brush your teeth - these were the rules when Brandon and Drew spent a week with Sam when they were young. What else could a kid ask for?

No trick-or-treating this year, but Lucy got into the Halloween spirit with her pumpkin hat.
