How have 11 months flown by so quickly? A few special things we want to remember about our growing girl:
- She continues to be extremely verbal, although the squeals, chirps, and shrieks from earlier months have given way to babbling. Words include mama, dada, yum-yum and hot. She doesn't say "no" but shakes her head repeatedly when she knows she's not supposed to be doing something. Any attempt to teach her to nod her head yes results in lots of laughs.
- She has started to sign for "milk" and "all done."
- She started doing "So Big" on May 2 in her rocking chair at Grandma and Grandpa Hagen's house.
- She scrunches up her face when she's really happy
- She got two bottom teeth at 7 months, then another 3 last week, and another 3 or 4 are on the way. We've had lots of sleepless nights the past couple of weeks, with Lucy waking 2-3 times per night.
- She can't get enough of water - bath time and swimming.
- She loves being out and watching people, and often gets cranky when she is not the center of attention!
Began began giving "nuzzles" with kiss. shakes head back and forth and opens mouth very wide. At first would shake her head in response, now does it when she hears "nuzzle"
waves bye bye and hi on command
started pulling herself up on furniture around 10 months. immediately looks to whoever is around for praise. she is so proud of herself and ants to make sure you're paying attention!
started throwing tantrums occasionally, espeiclaly when we don't let her take off her bib while eating. sometimes chucks all the food off her high chair when she's mad.
occasionally signing for milk
seems to say "all done" when she's asked if she's all done eating
kissy fish face, sticking out the tongue
