We're back home after Lucy's first trip to the Rockies, and now we're wondering why we don't visit the mountains more often. We spent five beautiful days in the Vail Valley with Brandon's family, including his parents and brother, and his cousin, Brent, and his wife, Rhiannon, and their three kids.
The vacation schedule is definitely different when kids are involved, especially when Lucy is still taking regular naps and hitting the hay relatively early. We still managed to cram in lots of fun in the Colorado sunshine. Highlights include riding the gondola, swimming at the pool, and playing in a couple fountains. (Lucy stripped down to her diapees but we adults managed to stay fully clothed.) Plus, we took advantage of the local bus system and rode not one, but two buses.
