Somehow August has come and gone, and it seems our little blog was neglected in this whirlwind month. Between vacation, Brandon's hectic travel and work schedule, and squeezing as much fun into each summer day as we are able, we've had little time for updates. Oh, and pregnancy the second time around is leaving me far more exhausted than the first. Or maybe it's the newly mobile tike who is making it tough for me to keep up!
A few weeks ago, Lucy officially became a walking girl, and if she's awake, she is on the move. She looks like such a big girl now that she's upright, and we're still trying to figure out where our little baby has gone. Each day brings a new development, whether a word or gesture or sometimes even a dance move. We'll do another update in the next couple days on all her new tricks, so stay tuned...
The big news about baby #2 is that we got a peek a few weeks ago during the midpoint ultrasound. We're happy to report that the babe is growing right on schedule! Sorry to disappoint some of you who were hoping we'd learn the gender, but after much deliberation on my part, we decided to wait until the end for the big surprise. Both of us are leaning toward boy, but if you know my track record on the boy/girl prediction, you won't give my inclination much weight. Speaking of weight, enjoy this photo of my growing belly currently at 24 weeks. (I will admit I wasn't too excited about taking these photos but figured we don't need to add any ammunition to this baby feeling like the neglected second child.)
