Morning Blues

It's only 8:30 a.m., but so far our day is off to quite a start. Jack has been up since just before 5:00 and refuses to go back to sleep. Lucy woke up at 6:30 (about 1-2 hours early for her) in an unusually cranky mood. And then, not to be left out, Joey got in on the action by whining to go outside (for the second time this morning, I might add). So I hooked her up in the backyard, only to discover 10 minutes later that she was stuck - in the mud - under the porch. I put on my trusty boots and hoofed it through the backyard in my pjs to get her. Did I mention it's raining? And that I fell in the mud?

Someday I might look back on this day and laugh. Maybe.
