Lucy is having her first slumber party with her aunties tonight! We've been talking about this for several days and she was so excited to see "mine Aunties." Their plans included going out for pink (aka ice cream) and pizza. Miss Lucy will be in heaven!
We dropped her off this afternoon and I got a little teary. I never knew I was such a sap. Even though Lucy has enjoyed numerous sleep-overs with both sets of grandparents, this slumber party seems like something more for a big girl. She is growing up!
Another sign that she's turning into a big girl...she couldn't get rid of us fast enough. As we were getting ready to leave, Lucy announced, "Bye bye Mom and Dad." Then she went to the door and tried to open it, perhaps in an attemtp to get us moving.
I've always thought it's so special to have sisters, and I'm excited that Lucy is going to get to know my sisters and have fun memories with them.
