Hello family and friends!
Thank you for visiting B and E is Three - our first blog for our first baby! Emily is into the 24th week of her pregnancy. With things changing so quickly we decided to join the modern world (with nod to Katie and Travis for the suggestion) and create a blog to communicate with those near and dear to us.
BRIEF UPDATE
Weeks 1 through 24 - everything is going well so far and in summary:
1. Due date: June 14, 2008;
2. No, we are not going to find out the sex;
3. Names? Sorry, not telling! (I am still angling for Brunhilda);
4. Why aren't you finding out? Very sorry we are to disappoint some folks, but we cannot imagine a better surprise at the end;
5. How is Joey Mae (our beloved golden retriever) going to like sharing her home? She will probably be unable to keep from licking her (or him);
6. Do we think the baby is a boy or a girl? Every wives' tale out there tells us we're having either a boy or a girl, and you know even though I'm not much for superstitions - I think they are right! Seriously, we have no idea but very much appreciate those who think they do!
ANECDOTE OF THE UPDATE:
It was 3:30 A.M. when I was awakened by some hysterical sound and only remember the words "I got two lines!" After the all those negative tests, 3:30 in the morning or 3:30 in the afternoon made no difference - it was great to finally get this good news.
FACT UPDATE:
We have finally--and believe me when I say finally--picked out a crib and dresser (myHaven by Young America) for the nursery and a stroller (Bumbleride Flyer). During this process, I learned that "guys like shopping for strollers because it's kind of like shopping for a new car". Anyway, we are making some progress and it is remarkable how quickly June seems to be coming! Thanks for stopping by!
