Our hope that Brandon would celebrate his first Father's Day today didn't pan out, as the baby is choosing to arrive fashionably late. Even though I'm only one day past my due date, it feels like an eternity.
We spent the weekend following the advice of many of the old myths about naturally inducing labor, including eating spicy food and walking a lot. Brandon discovered that tonic water has also been known to get babies moving. So, I enjoyed a special concoction we call "Tonic the Hedgehog," a delicious blend of tonic water and lime.
As I mentioned in a recent post, all our baby gear is ready to go. I neglected to post this photo a couple of weeks ago of the Dad-to-be figuring out how to operate the car seat. I snuck up to get this photo of him hard at work:

Hello! We had a good laugh about 'Tonic the Hedgehog.' We've also heard that pedicures can get the ball rolling. If anything, it's a good excuse to book an appointment at the spa!
