Entertaining Brucy

We have been quite active the last few weeks. I'm not certain if it's because we are all finally coming out of hibernation after 10 continuous months of winter, or if somewhere, deep in the recesses of our subconscious, where the residue of our mid-20s lingers, we figure we'd better get it all in before Brucious arrives. Beginning last weekend, every evening through the latter part of this week was filled, so we took Friday night off from activities. Saturday night we were back in action.

Heavily medicated on Tylenol PM, Emily actually slept in Saturday morning to unprecedented hours. Brunch followed and then a nice little trip to Target. We didn't have time for Bed, Bath & Beyond. We had a show to get to - some very high brow theater - Spamalot.

On a previous post, I mentioned Brucious' interest in music, and it became more evident this is the case Saturday night during Spamalot. While I think the baby's favorite number was "Always Look on the Bright Side of Life," "You Won't Succeed on Broadway" and the Frenchman with the outrageous accent produced some good movement as well. Hey, since the kid isn't likely to be the next Sandy Koufax, Michael Jordan, or even Lew Ford, a good sense of humor is going to be important.

Sunday we began our baby's education in yachting. The baby'll need sea legs in this life, and in utero is not too early to start learning. It's likely that the sac of fluid in which Brucy currently dwells detracted some from the experience, but I know one member of our voyage enjoyed the ride.
