Mommy Lucy

People often ask me how Lucy is dealing with the changes of welcoming a new baby to our family. She's too little to understand how her life is about to change, but she definitely knows that something is going to happen.

Many, many times each day she points to my belly and says "baby." Then she lifts up my shirt, kisses my belly, and pulls the shirt back down. So sweet! But it's definitely not so funny when she tries to get after me when we're strolling through the aisles at Target or the grocery store.

She has become such a nurturing little girl, and she loves playing "Mommy" to her baby dolls. She also runs into the baby's room many times each day, opening drawers and pulling out clothes and diapers. Another favorite is whispering "hush" with her finger to her mouth when we ask what we do when baby's sleeping.

Lucy has also been helping get all the baby gear ready. Here she is testing out the infant car seat.
