This post will be quick, so for now just a few details and photos of our new baby boy. (We're still getting used to saying that. Can you believe we have a BOY?)
Jack Thomas Hopkins joined us on December 28, 2009, at 2:03 pm, after only a couple hours of active labor. He tipped the scales at 8 pounds, 13 ounces, and measured 21.25 inches in length. My doctor predicted our baby would be big, and it turns out she knew her stuff. Jack would have been close to a 10-pounder if we had waited another week for him to arrive. Yikes!
Jack shares his first name with his Great-Grandfather Hopkins and his middle name with his Papa Hagen. We think it's hard to tell who he looks like at this point. We've heard differing opinions, but so far he's looking like a scrunched up newborn to us. No matter what, though, we certainly think he's an adorable baby!
