While Brandon slaves away in the kitchen making dinner (again), I thought I would post this photo to show another project that's kept him busy for a while. As you can see, the nursery is ready and waiting for the furniture to be delivered (but hold that thought for a moment). A couple weeks ago, Brandon spent the weekend painting the baby's room. All this while I had fun with my sisters in Chicago! With the room now emptied we are forced to consider the unfortunate prospect of replacing the carpet. Now, I can hardly imagine a more exciting way to spend money than on carpet! I will certainly concede, however, that it is a step above purchasing something even less rewarding like a roof, furnace, or water heater. I think we have finally concluded the standard issue beige carpeting our townhouse came with is near to no longer providing the basic requirements expected of flooring. So we continue to play the lottery to help our baby have a soft, clean place to crawl one day (awe...). Monday, March 24, 2008
Making Progress
