Munchin' Munchkin

Last week Lucy inherited a high chair from a long line of good eaters. Perhaps I am exaggerating a bit, as the high chair has actually been used by only two, Ben and Stella. These kiddos have both ends of the eating spectrum covered. Stella is a passionate little girl, and she's willing to make her opinions about food known. Beware of veering too far off the path of "regular cheese pizza" with this 3-year-old. Ben, on the other hand, seems like he'll eat just about anything as long as it's not too spicy. One of his favorite dishes is sushi, and he requested linguine with clams for his birthday a couple years ago.

Lucy hasn't quite ventured into sushi territory. She started off with the traditional rice cereal and quickly moved on to bananas and peas. Perhaps as a sign of things to come, we're seeing her attitude of "I can do it myself, thank you very much" when she grabs the spoon and helps steer food into her mouth. Cheerios have been a big hit for Lucy and Joey - who quickly discovered how much she enjoys the new high chair too!
