Our trip to Bath taught us that we aren't the best navigators of the British train system. Despite this abysmal travel experience, we decided to forge ahead and attempt to conquer the skies instead.
This adventure led us to Dublin, and we started off strong. Once we made it through check-in and security at the chaotic airport, we were feeling pretty proud of ourselves. And then the fun for the day ended. We learned our flight was delayed four hours. During that time, I took a little walk and returned to find Lucy laying in the buff on the floor on her changing pad. Brandon got a fun surprise while holding her - not only did Lucy need a new diaper, she also needed new pants and a new onesie. And, of course, this was the one time I was unprepared. So Brandon went on the hunt and Lucy is now the proud new owner of a rather snug onesie. Here she is showing off the look:
Once we made it to Dublin, we had to catch up on lost time. Lucy fit right in with her Irish ancestors (actually she's only about one-eighth Irish by our estimates), particularly with her ginger hair and fair complexion. The little lass thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Kehoe's Pub and her antics proved quite popular with our fellow pub-goers.
Although Lucy could have spent the day entertaining the Santas at the pub, we managed to hit some of the more historic venues as well. Some of the highlights included Trinity College, the National Gallery of Ireland, Temple Bar, St. Stephen's Green, and the Shelbourne Hotel (which you might want to check out as it's on the list of "1,000 Places to See Before You Die"). We also visited the Guinness Storehouse but will leave the details of that adventure for another post.
