Even though our trip to Paris was brief, we managed to hit a number of stops as Lucy's journey through Europe continued. We worked on Lucy's art appreciation with visits to the Musee d'Orsay and the Musee Picasso, as well as a drive-by at the Louvre. Non-museum highlights included strolls through the Jardin des Tuileries and the Champs-Elysees, where we narrowly missed being swept up in a large political rally and what seemed like the city's entire police force. Check out our slideshow for all the photos of our Parisian adventure.
First priority? Stopping for crepes with nutella and bananas.
We happened to stop at Notre Dame during Mass. Touring the cathedral with a background of a choir and organ can't be beat. It was quite strange, though, to see tourists standing around taking pictures of church-goers trying to worship.
We decided to pass on the long lines and save the Louvre for our next trip to Paris. But we did snap this fine family portrait to show Lucy that she has seen the world-famous museum.
Lucy and Brandon in the Musee d'Orsay, a former train station that houses some of the most beautiful Impressionist paintings.
We managed to squeeze in some fabulous food between all our museum stops. Lucy got into the Parisian cafe scene and especially enjoyed watching the action outside.
